No sound on new install

Just installed Arch on a new laptop, but have no sound sad
If I open pavucontrol the blue bar is dancing around but there's no audio from the speakers, or when I connect headphones. (It's not muted)
I haven't used pipewire before, not sure what I've missed

Re: No sound on new install

I removed pipewire and installed pulse, but still no sound. The speaker just makes a click on startup and when I mute audio. Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

Re: No sound on new install

This card is somewhat notorious for being problematic, see this earlier thread for it https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=284503 and by extension of the linked bug report: https://github.com/thesofproject/linux/ … 36-support
