Gaming performance in Gamescope Session is worse than Gnome Session.

Has anyone here tried to play games in Gamescope Session?
If I play Resident Evil 4 Remake, the performance of the game in Gamescope Session is so terrible even with lower setting. I don't know how to see the FPS in Gamescope Session, but I can see it with my bare eyes.
On the contrary, the game runs buttery smooth in Gnome Wayland Session, it constantly stays at 60fps with very high setting.

Gamescope Session is the only option for HDR gaming in Linux for now, I really hope that I can play it without issue.

Have you already checked whether HDR is the cause by not using HDR for a gamescope session?

After switching back to SDR, it is much better. How's that possible?

HDR support in any capacity is new, the patches that implement it are experimental, driver bugs not fully ironed out, it's likely by definition much more taxing, potentially a game bug with hdr. These things take time, there's unlikely to be any two ways around it currently
