[SOLVED] No spell checker in GNOME Evolution
Hey there,
I use the GNOME desktop and Evolution as mail program. Unfortunately, Evolution does not find any of the installed dictionaries for spell checking (neither does gedit, for that matter).
According to the wiki, Evolution uses gspell over enchant, although enchant can probably use hunspell as well. The respective packages are installed. Is there anything else I’m missing?

Just a guess but do you have the language pack for hunspell if that's what you've gone with?

I had, but hunspell itself was not installed. I assumed it was installed as dependency of the language-specific hunspell packages and didn’t check it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
