I just updated my system, and when the mkinitcpio part was running it thew an error for the sd-plymouth part.
==> Building image from preset: /etc/mkinitcpio.d/linux.preset: 'default'
-> -k /boot/vmlinuz-linux -c /etc/mkinitcpio.conf -g /boot/initramfs-linux.img
==> Starting build: '6.2.8-arch1-1'
-> Running build hook: [systemd]
==> ERROR: Hook 'sd-plymouth' cannot be found
It seems that plymouth sddm service is missing to now? I checked the wiki but couldn't find anything about sd-plymouthm, nor about the plymouth sddm in general, anymore. I'm quite sure it was there when I configured it first time (although it was a while ago now).
I guess something has changed here?
[EDIT] Changing the hook from sd-plymouth to just plymouth and enabling sddm.service seemed to fix everything though. Guess sd-plymouth and plymouth-sddm.service isn't necessary anymore?

And this is why you should *always* read pacman output when updating:
WARNING: The 'plymouth-encrypt' and 'sd-plymouth' hooks are no longer exist in the package. You should replace them with 'encrypt' and 'plymouth' hooks in your 'mkinitcpio.conf'. The 'lxdm-plymouth.service', 'lightdm-plymouth.service' and 'sddm-plymouth.service' systemd service files are no longer exist in the package. You should enable 'lxdm.service', 'lightdm.service' or 'sddm.service' instead.

I know, but I actually didn't get any messages about it what I can recall. And I upgraded both my laptop and my desktop. Fixed now though
The sd-encrypt do still work though, and dm-crypt wiki still says sd-encrypt should be used on systemd.

I'm running KDE on my system. I posted my hooks in the post you did. Look at it and see if that helps.
