Wake up from suspend-to-idle upon "closing" the lid

I have a Thinkpad T14 Gen1 (AMD variant), and I just enabled "Suspend to idle" in my firmware (and also encrypted my Swap, but I don't think that has anything to do with my issue)
( https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Power_ … _hibernate )
When I put the laptop to "Sleep", the light on the lid goes form constantly ON to a slow BLINK.
But now, when I close the lid, it turns back ON.
This did not happen before when I had the conventional suspend-to-disk.

This is the closest issue I could find, but there's no resolution:

Also, the ACPI state described there are not what I have. Mine are:

    $ cat /proc/acpi/wakeup
    Device  S-state   Status   Sysfs node
    GPP0      S0    *enabled   pci:0000:00:02.7
    RESA      S3    *enabled   pci:0000:05:00.0
    GPP5      S0    *disabled
    GPP6      S0    *enabled   pci:0000:00:02.2
    GP17      S0    *enabled   pci:0000:00:08.1
    LID       S4    *enabled   platform:PNP0C0D:00
    SLPB      S3    *enabled   platform:PNP0C0E:00

Anybody know how I can figure out if the machine is actually going to sleep? If not, how do I get it to?
