when i installed gnome-unstable and rebooted, gdm says "oh no! something has gone wrong!". i tried downgrading to the stable version by commenting gnome-unstable repository and pacman says this:

2. Perform a pacman -Syuu to "rollback" your updates from these repositories.
The second item is optional, but keep it in mind if you notice any problems.

So leaving the packages on the newer versions until the non-testing repositories catch up is fine but you can rollback if you prefer, or if you encounter any problems.
