I downloaded and installed ksmoothdock 4.3.
It seems to work okay except for the following:
Parabolic Zooming Mode doesn't work properly.
I get a vacant black rectangular region immediately above and the same length as the dock. The icons, when parabolic zoomed, reach the top of this black region. When they're 'unzoomed' they go back to normal, but still leaving the black region as it is.
It looks like a bug to me but I wanted to know if there was something I could do about it before I logged any bug report with sourceforge.[/u]

Resolved.
I posted on SourcForge.net and it appears the parabolic problem is an outstanding bug yet to be fixed.
Awesome eye candy though!
