Media control with holding buttons on bluetooth headset

Hi all,

I am trying to make the buttons on my bluetooth headphones work.

As described here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/MPRIS#Bluetooth  I managed to make play/paused button work.

On my headset when using with the phone "Next" / "Previous" actions are done via holding volume buttons.

Is there a way to make audio players (I am testing with vlc now) react to that event? And who should handle it (window manager, MPRIS ...)?

For example when I am pressing separate "Play/Pause" button, it works like keyboard button (in terminal I can see characters appearing).  But for volume buttons are already doing volume control...

Thanks
