Dolphin not showing Videofile thumbnails

This issue is unfortunately driving me nuts as I really do need the thumbnails.

Despite having installed the package ffmpegthumbs and pretty much any package with KDE and thumbnail in it, Dolphin is still not showing me the option to allow video file thumbnails in its settings. I would like to know how can I could even check what is causing this error? The Arch Wiki unfortunately does not mention video thumbnails under the dolphin article, so whoever has a solution should probably also add it on there.

Worksforme™

There's a max size for which to create thumbnails for, what is that set to? There's also a setting to dis-/enable generation of that for removable drives, is this a case of having a removable drive? Do you see any output if you start dolphin from the terminal? Have you ensured that dolphin was properly closed and reopened/in doubt reboot after installing ffmpegthumbs?

Re: Dolphin not showing Videofile thumbnails

Looks like the dolphin that I had installed was the flatpak version from Discovery and that one doesn't integrate with the rest of the desktop I assume? I was wondering why I couldn't run Dolphin from the terminal, then I realized I could install it from Pacman, and suddenly it did in fact work. Oh well. Time to close
