One of my pet hates with modern applications is mandatory skins. I am a flat design hater and I rice all my desktops with '90s style themes with clear buttons. I expect that applications that run on my system will respect my system theme, because this is the way GUI applications have behaved since the days of the Xerox Alto. I had heard Ripcord uses Qt and since my preferred desktop is KDE, I downloaded it in the hopes that it would respect my theme settings, but no, apparently it uses its own Qt implementation and ignores my KDE settings. Are there any Discord clients that will respect my settings and blend in harmoniously with my other applications? Qt would be preferred but GTK is also acceptable if it will respect my KDE GTK3 settings. I am tired of app designers who think they're better than the system they're running on.
