Gnome Keyboard layout problem

When I first installed arch I setup my alternative layout (cyrilic) using gnome (not using xorg.conf options) and everything was fine... every window had separate layout and the keyboard layout panel bar was working fine...

And suddenly after rebooting everything is wrong... I can still use cyrilic, but it's global, not separate for every window, and the keyboard layout panel bar is always showing USA layout no matter what is the layout I switch to, or choose... Anyone having such problem?

BTW gedit can't read cyrilic fonts... any suggestions?

I have the same problem (RUS/USA layout). Gkrellm-xkb plugin shows current layout just fine. Looks like some kind of bug.
