Mouse cursor lag when using Picom (LXQt)

I use picom with the glx backend and I've noticed my mouse seems to lag and stutter, would anybody know why this is the case? When i turn picom off the issue disappears

Weird, are you using software cursor?
Maybe Xorg log would tell you.
