How to Reverse Realtime process management?

Hello, I was exploring the arch wiki and i read the section on real time process management (https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/realti … management). I decided to try it out and so i installed the realtime and realtime-privileges packages on my system. How can i reverse this? if i just uninstall the packages I am still left with entries in  "grep pam_limits.so /etc/pam.d/*" and an entry in /etc/pam.d/su. Is it safe to just delete all of those lines and remove my user from the realtime group as well as deleting the realtime group or do i have to do something else to reverse this?

Re: How to Reverse Realtime process management?

The "grep" command didn't add anything to those file - you just confirmed that the archlinux defaults were sufficient with that command.  Those entries are there on every arch system.

You might have made a change to /etc/pam.d/su.  That change isn't necessary for all uses of realtime process management.  So did you make this change or not?  In either case, leaving the change in place would be harmless ... as would reverting it.

So long story short: just remove the packages.

Re: How to Reverse Realtime process management?

I made the change to the su file. Thanks for the clarification.
