Il2 FB AEP under AL a journey about to be undertaken

After the last couple of nights looking into support for my Saitek X45 joystick under Linux, and btw it seems to work well or so my testing has lead me to believe but a Gnome joystick calibration/control panel would be nice) I am about to undergo trying Il2 FB out under WineX 3.3

There have been claims of it working so I will give it a go and keep people posted.

Have to say though, loving native UT2004 on AL.  Runs a treat.  Now with regards to IlIwillalso endevour to try and get Hyper Lobby running also because I love the online component of FB and this is the best method of getting online.

Fingers are crossed.   wink

Off to using Peanut and Slackware, no hard feelings but I need my CD to burn, PDA and scanner to connect and arch won't do it.

There is a reason for getting Il2 FBAEP running and that is because it is the best WW2 flight simulator on the market.
It runs quite well under WineX 3.3 although you have to not allow it to rely on X for resetting resolution of the full screen.  I works in both window mode and full screen but under the games config.ini make sure the game resolution is that of your desktop for full screen mode.  Will post my settings later today when I'm back hope but it seems fine with Quick Mission Builder, will do more testing later.

Have to configure my joystick but I should have that dealt with later this arvo.  Makes me very happy.  Now to see if I can get my VST instruments working and map them into Rosegarden.  My transition will be complete.
