Hi!
Kpilot does not synchronize.
I put:
BUS=="usb", SYSFS{product}=="Palm Handheld", KERNEL=="ttyUSB*", SYMLINK+="pilot", OWNER="jayhel", GROUP="users", MODE="0666"
in edev.rules.
/dev/pilot is created with root.root (which is stange, I would have expected jayhel.users)
The synch process occurs.
My Palm Treo 650 is backed up.
However nothing is synched.
Also I find it strange that the file:
/usr/src/linux-2.6.18-ARCH/include/config/usb/serial/visor.h
is empty! (the headers are installed).
Anybody with a working Kpilot, please kindly contact me. I need this application working asap.

Okay, I have Kpilot working with a Handspring Visor.
A few issues: Did you set the bus speed to the highest possible? This caused me a great deal of trouble, esp. as the documentation says that it doesn't matter for USB (they lie!).
Also, are you telling kpilot to do a hotsync? full sync? Restore from back up?
You have to make sure you find the right action to do. From the systray icon, right click, go to next sync, select HotSync. I don't know why this is not the default, but it is not.
