Notification-daemon crashes, images not working

Hi,

after installing the package and starting the daemon with " /opt/gnome/libexec/notification-daemon&" I can use notify-send to create poups. Also, the python-notify package seems to work, so I used the test scripts it provides. These are my problems:

Everytime a popup is destroyed, the whole daemon crashes:

Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_style_detach: assertion `style->attach_count > 0' failed
aborting...

The Image test does only work for URI images, not for stock icons or raw pixbufs (the poups are created but with no icon).

Can anyone confirm these problems and/or offer help?
Oh btw I don't use a GNOME environment, in fact I don't use any GNOME components, just Gtk+, Qt and KDE Applications under wmii.

fixed by installing notification-daemon from svn...
