Audio Mixer Issues w/ Firefox

This might not be an Arch or even Linux specific issue, but I'm not sure exactly what the issue is so I figure this is the best place to ask. No matter what I set the volume of Firefox to in gnome sound settings it is always reset to the default value from the website I am using when I switch between videos or songs. This might just be the nature of volume on a web browser but I can't believe that this is an intended behavior. Am I missing something obvious?

Re: Audio Mixer Issues w/ Firefox

That's a long standing firefox "issue"/behavioral problem. I always meant to try and fix that at some point, but currently, yes this is intended behaviour. Firefox tries to control both volume and sound and doesn't stick to the volume requested by the sound server. Should be fairly trivial to fix code wise. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1422637

FWIW you won't see the same behaviour on chromium, or other blink based browsers for that matter.
