Thinkpad X13 AMD wakes from suspend when the lid is closed

Hello,

I'm struggling to debug the issue of laptop always waking up when the lid is closed, even when it is already sleeping.

dmesg -w output when I trigger a suspend and then close the lid

I'm using KDE+i3 with TLP. KDE's powerdevil is enabled, lid handling is enabled there. I do not think it may be KDE though, because just pure i3 session behaves the same.

/etc/systemd/logind.conf

[Login]
# tried ignore for handle parameters
HandleLidSwitch=suspend
HandleLidSwitchExternalPower=suspend
HandleLidSwitchDocked=suspend
# tried yes
LidSwitchIgnoreInhibited=no

Please share your ideas of what may be wrong with my setup.

Re: Thinkpad X13 AMD wakes from suspend when the lid is closed

I found this because i got the same issue.
I was able to solve it by changing the Sleep mode in the bios. It was set to Windows. After setting it to Linux my x13 keeps sleeping when I close the lid.

Re: Thinkpad X13 AMD wakes from suspend when the lid is closed

Sorry to necrobumb but I have the same problem. The workaround of setting the sleep mode to Linux did help with it but then it can't resume without being in a freezed state with a blinking display. Is there any other solution for disabling resume on lid close?
