Routinely doing

pacman -Sc

will do the needful. (along with other cleanups)

Double 'c' will remove all package files. Possibly not what one normally wants.

Congratulations to the arch packager team - the migration went very well on the new system. Amazingly well planned in details. and executed to the highest standard we could have expected. A few minor niggles as things settled down but it is working great now.  I continue to be a strong supporter of the way Arch is run and looked after.
