I am using wine to run GTA SA, but when I start it, it generates this crash

in the notes section it lists common problems such as:
GTA refuses to open
Some times gta may fail to start even when you haven't touched (modded) anything. In this case delete the file gta_sa.set inside the Documents/GTA San Andreas User Files directory and restart the app. You will have to reset your gta sa settings.

Hello. I am using wine 8.0 and trying to plaay GTA: SA. While in menu, it seems to be good, no bugs, no freezes. But while spawning first time and trying to get back in the hood, fps drops around 10-15. I dont know if this problem relates only to my system or to wine 8.x in general, so I ask: has anyone tested GTA: SA on wine 8.x?
I have another machine with wine 5.0 on it and it runs pretty good, so I guess the problem is in wine version

I would personally try https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/wine-ge-custom before anything else.
