Hi, I'm issuing a problem with my microphone not working since quite a long time.
I tried to search it up, but didn't understand anything from other threads.
I first had to configure my sound card, so that I could hear something, I changed the following:
cat /proc/cmdline
BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-linux-lts root=UUID=b8405ac0-2a82-4930-bf64-a4de8e01efa4 rw loglevel=3 quiet snd_hda_intel.dmic_detect=0
In file : /etc/pulse/default.pa
load-module module-alsa-source device=hw:0,0
I followed this, and it was clearly stated that adding snd_hda_intel.dmic_detect=0 will only make work the audio and not the mic, so this is not a workaround working for me.
Since then I am stuck, seeking for help,
Thanks!

dmic_detect=0 will break the mic, no ifs or buts.
What's the behaviour without that parameter, what do you get from
aplay -l
arecord -l
pactl list sources
make sure sof-firmware is installed
