Battery charge limits no persistient on boot (System76 Gazelle 17)

Initially I used KDE system settings to set a charge limit which works but does not persist across reboots. More recently I tried directly writing the charge limit value into /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/charge_control_end_threshold which worked the same as using KDE settings but still didn't persist across boots.
Is there a way to make sure the changes don't revert, otherwise I was considering setting up a bash script to write the values every boot.

Install system76-power or system76-power-git from the AUR and see https://support.system76.com/articles/l … hresholds/
