unable to boot after pacman -Syu

hello. i did pacman -Syu from within the live installation while beingchrooted to the installed system
there was a kernel update but i forgot to mount the boot partition.
doing grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg has not helped.

Chroot back into the system, make sure the /boot partition is mounted (maybe clean the mountpoint before mouting the boot partition to avoid future confusion) and explicitly re-install the kernel.
