Horrible speed and ping on rtl8821ce

Hello, I happen to unfortunately have a rtl8821ce in my laptop.
I used both the rtw, rtw88 and the rtl8821ce unofficial drivers with no luck.
My phone right near the laptop gets 24 mbps, while my laptop gets 5000ms ping and 0.05 mbps.
This is total fucking bullshit. The most horrible thing I ever had.
The thing is, it works fine some of the time, but then just drops.
What I've noticed that it is a slope that slowly goes up, and then goes down randomly.
I've had long periods of bad internet, as well as long periods of good internet.

If it's not the wifi_powersave@.service of dubious origin (disable it and reboot), please post a complete system journal for a boot covering the network issues, eg: 

sudo journalctl -b | curl -F 'f:1=<-' ix.io

for the current one.

• I didn't notice that, so I've tried to make a similar service which forcefully sets it to off, didn't find it working properly so used udev instead and it worked perfectly: iw says Power save: off.

Thanks. Disabled + stopped systemd-networkd.service and systemd-networkd.socket.

It just spikes randomly for whatever reason.
Worked fine for only a single day, and stopped now.
I can't play ANY game or even watch YouTube.

That's unfortunate.
How far are you away from the AP and are there any walls etc inbetween? (ie. is the bad signal physically reasonable or maybe related to the antenna)

It's not even that far. Less than 3 seconds of walk to get to it.

And again, as I've said, Wi-Fi works perfectly on my phone.
Totally reasonable 24 mbps here.

You're not getting 24Mbps with that signal.
Stop networkmanager and connect w/ wifi-menu from netctl, maybe NMs excessive scanning gets in the way.
Though there's also https://github.com/tomaspinho/rtl8821ce/issues/322

Do you maybe have power saving on (explciitly or through something like TLP)?

Not with NM, but you can stop NM and connect w/ wifi-menu as suggested.
Another thing to try is to turn your phone into an AP (hotspot) and connect to that while it's nearby and see whether the signal (and performance) is any better.

It is not getting any better. My phone is getting 100-200ms with up to 20 mbps, while my laptop has 1500 ms and 0.15 mbps.
This is haunting me again. If the amount of data exceeds some VERY small amount, like a megabyte, it just fucking dies.
