iwlwifi no suitable firmware found

I followed a popular guide for installing archlinux on my laptop without ethernet port. After rebooting the system, I ran into an issue. When i

rfkill

i could see the asus-wlan device, but my NetworkManager did not. So I ran

journalctl

there was a bunch of loads for iwlwifi and lo and behold

archlinux kerenel: iwlwifi no suitable firmware found!

Is there a fix for this that doesnt require me buying an ethernet adapter or reinstalling linux?

edit: pls help. spent a day trying to install linux for the 2nd time

Re: iwlwifi no suitable firmware found

Install the linux-firmware package from a chroot.

FWIW the only popular  guide that should be used and is supported here is https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Installation_guide third party guides not keeping up is one of the big reasons for that.

If you need further help ask the author of that guide, or reinstall using the correct guide
