Hello,
today when i started my system (i am dual booting arch and windows) the startup hangs on Starting Hostname Service. I have tried updating all packages and I checked if my /etc/hostname and /etc/hosts is setup correctly. I am new to arch and do not know how to continue troubleshooting this. Thank you in advance. (excuse me for uploading a picture of the text, but i so not know how to copy it)

Can you boot the multi-user.target (2nd link below)
If so, please post the system journal for the previous boot:
sudo journalctl -b -1 | curl -F 'f:1=<-' ix.io
(Make sure you didn't reboot using the power button, try to frenentically hit ctrl+alt+del)

Typographically, you could have added a newline
But otherwise you're doing fine (posting a thumbnail instead of the full scale image and it's genuinely hard to extract text from a supposingly stalled boot)
dual booting arch and windows
3rd link below. Mandatory.
Disable it (it's NOT the BIOS setting!) and reboot windows and linux twice for voodo reasons.
Welcome to the archlinux forum.

I could boot the multi-user.target. Here is the journal: http://ix.io/4xDM
Fast start was off already.
Thank you for your fast reply
(Edit: i accidentally posted pastebin of multiuser boot)

That's from a multi-user.target boot, however you've an nvidia GPU but neither nvidia nor nouveau are loaded.
Do you have the nvidia-lts package installed?
Sidebar: you've networkmanager and dhcpcd enabled, since you likely want to use networkmanager, disable dhcpcd.

Thank you, that fixed it and I am writing this from the OS . I have also removed dhcpcd, thanks for pointing that out.
