Ctrl+F opens xterm

Hello,

I don't use xterm as default terminal emulator, I use GNOME Terminal, but some days ago I found out that when I press Ctrl+F (its default shortcut for Find), it will opens xterm and not find popup in applications, why is it happening? Did anybody have similar issue? And I don't want to uninstall xterm because some applications needs it like gns3-gui etc..

I use several linux distros like: Archlinux, Ubuntu, Fedora, Linux Mint

Re: Ctrl+F opens xterm

Does it only do so in gnome-terminal?
Otherwise I'd say you bound a global shortcut for it…

It does in everything, in desktop, in Visual Studio Code.. it is really annoying hmm I checked keyboard shortcuts in Gnome Settings and I didn't find anything related to Ctrl+F.

Re: Ctrl+F opens xterm

Since there's an xterm, this is on X11?

sleep 3; xdotool key "XF86LogGrabInfo"

Press ctrl+f and keep it pressed until xdotool fired.
You'll get a list of all keyboard grabs in the Xorg log, ctrl+f being the active one.
