Virtual Monitor

Hello,
I'm trying to create a virtual screen to use as a second screen with my tablet. The problem is that I have an error. Here's what I did as a command

$ cvt 1920 1080 60
# 1920x1080 59.96 Hz (CVT 2.07M9) hsync: 67.16 kHz; pclk: 173.00 MHz
Modeline "1920x1080_60.00" 173.00 1920 2048 2248 2576 1080 1083 1088 1120 -hsync +vsync
$ xrandr --newmode "1920x1080_60.00" 173.00 1920 2048 2248 2576 1080 1083 1088 1120 -hsync +vsync
$ xrandr --addmode DP-2 "1920x1080_60.00"
$ xrandr --output DP-2 --mode "1920x1080_60.00" --left-of eDP-1

Here is the error I get

X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
  Major opcode of failed request: 140 (RANDR)
  Minor opcode of failed request: 7 (RRSetScreenSize)
  Serial number of failed request: 40
  Current serial number in output stream: 41

Namely, it crops my screen and I'm forced to type

 xrandr -s 0

to get my display back

This isn't about the output, but on how to forced it to be active.

Re: Virtual Monitor

According to their homepage you need a virtual display adapter (ie. a physical dongle)
