[SOLVED] Cannot log in after update, linux 6.3.6

Hi,

Neither as my user or root.

I took a photo of the error before it returned to the login prompt:

Assertion 'close_nointf(fd) != -EBADF' failed at src/basic/fdutil.c:74, function safe_close(). Aborting.

Aside from updating, I also added a luks key, as the old one was compromised.

Looks like I'll be chrooting in, which is fine - but does anyone have advice on which pkg to overwrite?

Thanks!

EDIT,

https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=285634

has some tips, I'll try that.

Continuing this chattering with myself, chrooted in.

In /etc/pam.d

there were

passwd.pacnew
system-login.pacnew
system-auth.pacnew

I copied all the non 'pacnew' versions to name.pacold, then moved the name.pacnew ones to their name.

Annnnnd --- fixed.
