HyperX USB Sound Card increases/decreases volume twofold per click

Hi there. Pretty much the first time I've posted on these forums, let me know if I did anything wrong.

I have a problem with my HyperX USB Sound Card (that comes with the HyperX Cloud II headset that I'm using) doubling volume steps per click on my system.

For future reference, Cinnamon has a 5% volume step

Troubleshooting

The information I've gathered so far through my slightly-better-than-garbage-tier troubleshooting:

  • The problem occurs consistently (p.e. 15% -> 25%), unless the volume is at 0%, at which point, you toss the dice and it can be either a 5% or 10% increment, but from then on, it does the usual shtick (5% -> 15%)

  • My keyboard's volume keys trigger the 5% step correctly, so I can confirm the issue only occurs with the USB sound card

  • I've tried connecting it to different USB ports (even the one that my keyboard was originally connected to), no changes whatsoever

  • The USB Sound Card itself is not busted, because I've used it on other systems with different hardware that run Arch that don't have this problem

  • Extras

    • I've tried KDE to check if the issue occurred there. It does, but whether the 5% step turns into 10% step is much more inconsistent, although more than half of the time it does double the step

    • I've ran a QEMU/KVM VM with Windows on this system to understand if it was a hardware problem. I understand that this doesn't entirely rule that out, but if it is a hardware issue, it doesn't seem to affect Windows because the problem doesn't happen there

    • I've also ran an Xubuntu Live USB to see if the issue would occur in another distro and it does (in this case, XFCE behaves similarly to KDE on Arch)
