My friend's arch install boots up to this screen:

May anybody please give me any instructions on how to fix this issue? Thanks!

Boot the ISO, mount everything, chroot in, make sure the system is COMPLETELY up to date, then regenerate the initramfs.

I tried that, but that didn't work.

Re: Friend's Arch Install Doesn't Boot Correctly

You got that far by doing the steps I laid out, there was a partial update in there.

What kernel are you booting? What are the contents of /etc/mkinitcpio.conf?

Re: Friend's Arch Install Doesn't Boot Correctly

Output of `uname -r` is linux 6.3.5-arch1-1.

Here is the mkinitcpio.conf:

Re: Friend's Arch Install Doesn't Boot Correctly

Is that the uname when booted with the ISO? If so, that's the kernel loaded from there, it doesn't tell me anything. I'm wondering if there's a custom kernel in play here.

That is completely stock, is that from the actual root partition, not the ISO?
