SOLVED: linux-6.3.8.arch1-1 causes vlc 3.0.1 with usb dvb to fail.

After a full upgrade on June 17th. I noticed that my VLC tv stopped working after a channel change. The vlc package was not upgraded.

Not only that, but VLC hangs and even after kill -9 leaves a defunct process behind. That in turn causes issues when trying to reboot/shutdown.

The actual device being used is

Bus 001 Device 008: ID 2013:025f PCTV Systems tripleStick 292e

with vlc 3.0.18-11.

I looked at all the upgrades done on the 17th. And downgraded all to those archived on June 10th; after reboot into the downgraded system
with linux-6.3.6-arch1-1  vlc behaved as expected.

As a simple attempt to find which upgrade was causing the problem I upgraded just

linux-docs-6.3.8.arch1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst linux-6.3.8.arch1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst linux-headers-6.3.8.arch1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst

and after reboot with just those upgraded the problem returns.

Thanks I did search, but obviously not with the right terms. I'll await a fix and mark this as solved.
