Minecraft graphical issues after switching to Nvidia on Xorg

So around two days ago I lost my Arch Linux (Meaning nothing was showing up) and after a lot of debugging I instead just installed the 2023 version of Arch Linux and reinstalled my entire system. I have the exact same setup as before but now when I run minecraft I get this [result](https://imgur.com/a/wm6eFDl) when using nvidia through optimus-manager. Minecraft works without graphical issues if I am on Intel. I have fully upgraded my system but still the errors are still there.

Hi, when I run prime-run I get prime-run command not found. I have prime installed and to my knowledge there is no package named prime-run

Hi, I did install prime using paru, apparently it just shows the active gpu. Anyways the issue is the same even with prime-run tlauncher

I am experiencing the same problem, i notice this time i got error with glxgears more specificly
How this happen to me:

I've been busy working on my minecraft network for a while now and things were working fine
Until one day i remember to update my system
I did an entire system update and after that things fall apart

I believe this is something cause by the recent nvidia update

and obviously try to downgrade the nvidia drivers to 530.41.03-17 (requires linux 6.3.7.arch1-1 or you need to use nvidia-dkms)

Hi So I have downgraded my linux to 3.6.7 successfully and tried to downgrade my nvidia package using

sudo downgrade nvidia

and during the downgrading nvidia-utils was not downgraded as there was no version of it that was for the version I chose. Now when I try running nvidia-smi I get errors saying I do not Nvidia drivers installed and running minecraft through prime-run just crashes on load.

You need to downgrade {lib32-,}nvidia-utils to 530.41.03-1 the version before the dash is what's relevant and needs to match between the nvidia and the respective nvidia-utils packages.

Thanks a lot! It finally worked. I almost gave up as well and started upgrading my system again because I thought it was not working. Anyways thank you a lot for the help!

So we've this one and the steam situation w/ the 535xx drivers, "yay"…

Hi thanks, but I have noticed that when I try to switch to nvidia with optimus-manager it doesn't actually switch the gpus. Any idea why and how I can fix it?

He might have broken the driver installation and the reported success is a red herring.
Please post a complete system journal and xorg log of the status quo.

@porudev, did you try to downgrade the nvidia driver?
If the OP just screwed the system and is constantly running on the intel chip, the cause remains unknown (and could just be broken HW)

I did try to downgrade but it broke my system so i have to upgrade it again. Currently im living with no nvidia or if so nvidia is only usable non-minecraft, i haven't test with other game but any game that use openGL should give the same result

this is the result of glxgears, it only send error after i close the file

You need to downgrade the nvidia kernel package, nvidia-utils and the kernel (530.41.03-17 and linux 6.3.7.arch1-1)
