Hello,
I recently installed a new system. Everything works smoothly, except that the computer goes to sleep when I turn off my monitor. How can I prevent that from happening?
I use Sway (swaylock is installed but the idle-inhibitor is activated). All packages are up-to-date. I use the GPU built into my processor (Ryzen 7950X), the motherboard is a ASUS ProArt X670E-CREATOR WIFI. I also have a discrete GPU (RTX 4090) but it is only used for computation. The monitor is from Packard Bell. Unfortunately I don't know which model because I got it second hand and the label had been removed.
So specifically, I want my system to keep running even when the monitor is off.
Thanks for your help!

maybe somebody could give me a tip about how to debug this?

The system S3's when you push the power button on your monitor??
Check the system journal and briefly test whether this happens w/ openbox or weston - the output will perhaps unregister when you switch it off, but that doesn't inherently suspend the system.
For a wild guess, disable the Lid handling in logind.conf if some even like that gets fired ![]()
