ibus-extension-gtk3 high cpu usage

already performed system update. upon logging in and out of a session, the ibus-extension-gtk3 eats at my CPU for whatever reason.

kernel: 6.3.9-arch1-1
thinkpad t460s

I had the same issue, which apparently is https://github.com/ibus/ibus/issues/2471. The suggested workaround is

ibus restart

which worked for me. Still pretty annoying though.
