[Solved] Black screen during normal use

Having a very weird issue I am kind of at a lost of how to investigate.

I have been seeing an issue in the last month or so where I am using my laptop and the screen will go completely black, no cursor or anything else. Switching to another tty has no effect, audio will still play and I can mute it using the keyboard mute button, navigating around the WM seems to work but hard to confirm. This does seem to happen when gaming or watching videos so could be related to the GPU (AMD). Doesn't seem to be tied to any game or video player directly as I have seen it with several different games of all graphic intensity and videos of the same and with different players.

Hoping to get a little guidance on where would be best to investigate to look into this issue so I can come back with more information or find the cause.

Sadly none of those fixes worked but after spending the day working at it I found the issue. Looks like it is an issue with the latest kernel. I found a few other people mentioning similar issues with the latest kernel and downgraded to 6.2 and that seems to have resolved the issue. Marking this as Solved.
