[SOLVED] 6.4.x breaks brightness control keys on 2013 MacBook Pro 15

Hi
after broken bluetooth got fixed the next broken item is the brightness control keys (F1 and F2) .
Downgrading kernel to 6.3.9 they work again.

kernel parameter that has been present for a few years now for this is:

acpi_backlight=vendor

Not sure what information I can post to help debug this.

Apparently now removing

acpi_backlight=vendor

from kernel line allows brightness control keys to work. (Also tested on Fedora 38 with kernel 6.4.x)
