mounting file containing luks-encrypted partition

i have a file partition.img, which contains a luks-encrypted ext4 partition. i can mount it via cryptsetup and mount and than use it normally as non-root user in nautilus. i was also positevly surprised, when i noticed that i can actually just click on the file and the gnome file manager nautilus just automatically mounts the file (!) however, unfortunately, the mounted partition in this case is read only, which doesn't surf my purpose. note, that this is not permission problem, but the ext4 file system is mounted read only. as this is super practical however, the question arises: can i mount it read-write using nautilus? or where could i find this out...
