Hello everyone,
I hope you can help me with a black screen issue I'm facing on my Lenovo Legion 5 laptop running Arch Linux.
my laptop configuration:
OS: Arch Linux x86_64
Host: 82B1 Lenovo Legion 5 15ARH05H
Kernel: 6.4.4-arch1-1
Uptime: 12 mins
Packages: 1169 (pacman), 20 (flatpak)
Shell: zsh 5.9
Resolution: 1920x1080
WM: i3
Theme: Adwaita [GTK2/3]
Terminal: alacritty
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics (16) @ 2.900GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Mobile
GPU: AMD ATI 05:00.0 Renoir
Memory: 2727MiB / 7308MiB
After performing a recent update on Arch Linux, my laptop's built-in display (eDP-1) works fine, but I encounter a black screen problem with my external monitor (HDMI-1-0). When I connect the external monitor via HDMI, it displays correctly for a few seconds but then goes black. The laptop's internal display remains functional.
Steps Taken:
I've attempted the following troubleshooting steps with no success:
Checked xrandr to ensure both displays are connected and detected.
Verified the Nvidia driver status using lsmod | grep nvidia.
Reviewed Xorg configuration and found no issues.

Have you configured i3 to work with multiple displays? I don't usually use a second display, but when I tried it one time, it only had a black screen. I didn't have time to troubleshoot (I was trying to do a school presentation), but maybe thats the issue?
Good luck, hope this helps!
