GTK/GTK2 ?

Why do people still use GTK when there is GTK2?

Good question?  Indeed, why do people still use C when there is C++?  It's a slow migration, but each has it's plusses and minuses.  For me, GTK widgets and API was easier for me to tinker with than GTK2, and I never really migrated to GTK2 when it came out.  Now, to make life more interesting, there seems to be a migration completely away from GTK2 in favor of QT.  Go figure...

I remember when TCL/TK was the schnizzle.  I got a TCL/TK book on my shelf right now, which a spider and his cobweb comfortably call home.  So many choices on Linux, and so few braincells to pack it all in.  I think a wise man once said, "Hey! Whatever floats your boat...", but with so many choices on Linux, my boat is slowly submerging under water.

What are the pros and cons of GTK/GTK2/QT/KDELIBS?
