[SOLVED] man pages 'search' broken using default less pager

I noticed that when I was searching in a man page, it didn't work to search for a word proceeded with dash/es. This was only broken on one of two man pages I was using.
I tracked the issue down to a groff update, and posted about it here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 9#p2110659
Since I didn't receive a reply, I assumed it was an isolated issue on my system, so I didn't bother with a bug report.

I'd like to followup with the issue is resolved with an update to groff 1.23.0-3.

In closing, I just wanted to post this for a bit of "too late now" info for anyone who may encounter this issue.

Upon a little self reflection about the above linked post, I also considered the following and this should probably be in my signature:

Sorry if I broke any forum rules, conventions, etiquette, was unintentionally rude or offensive, or any thing else I may have done to not receive a reply. I'm also aware the way I communicate can, and is often taken as offensive, rude, condescending, dumb, lazy, etc, I mean no offense or ill feelings to anyone. I am in fact not very smart or highly ambitious, but also not dumb or lazy by a long shot.

As an Arch user for well over a decade now, I can say I genuinely appreciate the presence and voluntary help available here in these forums from a small, dedicated group of very knowledgeable people.

You're saying an issue you previously had is solved?  Then why did you open a new thread in a support forum?  Or is there a remaining issue?

No remaining issues.

1) I thought possibly anyone else having the same issue may find it helpful.
2) Attempt to clear my conscious and apologize if I was out of line or offended anyone.
3) Express gratitude towards the group that includes you, for your help here!
