[SOLVED] troubles with xorg configuration and screen tearing
i'm new here. i recently installed arch linux and I liked it. but the problems arose when i noticed some gaps on my screen, so i tried to fix it. i followed this guide https://christitus.com/fix-screen-tearing-linux, didn't help, i also read some arch linux documentation and it didn't help either. moreover, when I tried to just add some configuration files to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d, it immediately gave me an error when loading. i was able to fix this by adding "init=/bin/bash" to grub. anyway, i still couldn't figure out how to solve it. i do not know, maybe I am actually applying incorrect configurations due to a different graphics card? please help, this is my first arch installation

i'm using optimus based(pain) laptop

1650/PCIe/SSE2

edit and solution: spelling. it looks like the tearing issue is related to nvidia cards. i won't tell you how to fix it, because there is a lot of documentation on this topic if you look for it. but it's unclear about xorg. apparently this has something to do with the fact that it is incorrectly configured from the very beginning. i realized that for me personally, this was related to zprofile and nvidia configuration. nevertheless, this article https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/xinit helped me to properly enable it on startup. as for others, i recommend looking at the dmesg and journalctl messages. the second solution may be to simply reinstall xorg and configure it accordingly using the manual, or just simply reinstall arch

What "some configuration files" *exactly*?
i initially could fix it by adding "init=/bin/bash" in the grub
