Arch and S/PDIF (Output)

Hello everybody,

i just got a new PC, my Mainboard is a ASRock X670E Taichi with the latest BIOS-Firmware. My Arch is up2date, and i installed it with Wayland and Pipewire.

Everything is working fine, except S/PDIF which gives me no Audio..

Things i tried:
- Installed Windows 10 to double-check that my new PC/Hardware is working properly. S/PDIF is working there, so it is not a faulty Mainboard or faulty S/PDIF-Port.

-Bought this Adapter (https://www.amazon.de/Cubilux-Optisches … r=8-3&th=1), because someone said he got it working with "Linux Mint 21.1, Kernel 6.3.2"

Sorry for bad formattig of this Text, i wrote it in mobile.

Am i missing something important?

Thanks in Advance!

Re: Arch and S/PDIF (Output)

Install alsa-utils , run alsamixer.
Verify the S/PDIF outputs are NOT muted .

Welcome to archlinux forums.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
