Non-official CD-cover [Duke & Voodoo]

Duke CD-covers

Some previews (there are more versions in the tar.gz file):
archlinuxdukewithoutcenxw6.th.png
without a center hole

lightscribe versions

For history reason, but with less images:
Voodoo CD-covers

I know that voodoo hasn't been released yet, but that didn't stop me from drawing this CD-cover, which by the way isn't the official CD-cover for voodoo. I did it in a bit different style compared to my previous contributions, hope you like it.

Version 2
Version 2 without the center hole
Version 2 (alternative version)

Version 1: png, svg

Nice!  I'd suggest bumping down the big arch down just enough that the bottom of the white circle doesn't cut into the darker blue arch. It looks like you might have just enough room so that the circle doesn't cut into either arch.  Just a suggestion... I like it!

Sure, it might work and it sounds like a nice suggestion. I am probably going to do that or a minor edit just to fix the cutting issue. The problem right now is that I am not at my own computer and I am using a 56k modem right now, which means that it will take to much time to download/upload large images (and of course downloading inkscape). I probably will fix it when I'll be back at my own computer which is Tuesday/Wednesday.

Made a version without the center hole if someone has a CD label kit/printer which is using a smaller diameter for the center hole.

I highly recommend to buy DVD-recorder that supports LightScribe. I have Lite-On SHW-16H5S.

Re: Non-official CD-cover [Duke & Voodoo]

Seemed like the place to post this...I updated my last ones as well for the Voodoo release.  Nothing aside from the text is different.  I don't know why it looks so dark in the preview from ImageShack, but here ya go:

Just one thing, I am not sure if this is relevant or not but should it be "An i686-optimized Linux Distribution"? I mean there is an official support for x86-64 too. I use the slogan which is in the header for almost all the Arch web pages: "a simple lightweight linux distribution"

Currently we have official packages optimized for the i686 and x86-64 architectures.

Should I change the headline for this thread in case there will be more CD-covers for Voodoo?

I know why, it is because there are some semi-transparent parts in the png. The preview is using a black background and the full image is using a white background. This makes the semi-transparent parts go for a darker tint in the preview compared to the full image.
