[SOLVED] Saving Multiple Display settings

Equipment: Thinkpad X1 gen 11 -> docked through USB-C to Thinkpad Docking station. Docking Station has two monitors.

Every time I plug my laptop to the docking station it pops up with the display as to what I would like to do.
                              I.E mirror, only laptop, extend to the right, adjust the screen setup, etc.

Question: Is there a way I can save my settings so that every time I plug in or change from HDMI 1 or 2 on the monitor itself, it doesnt ask me how I want to show this display?

Also, for some reason the browser decides to only be on the laptop screen sometimes and wont move to another screen but all other applications can. <- EDIT: If the panel is locked on the top and the monitor is at the top, applications cant be moved to the top, monitor has to be on the non panel side.

Re: [SOLVED] Saving Multiple Display settings

You can typically pre-configure output layouts, but the important detail missing in your post is *what* pops up, most likely equivalent to "what session type/fat DE are you running" (and maybe on what display server)

If the panel is locked on the top and the monitor is at the top, applications cant be moved to the top, monitor has to be on the non panel side.

That's a bug in strut handling and again: the actual WM and panel are super-important here…

Sorry bout that, I didnt even think about it:

$ ps -e | grep tty
   1917 tty1     00:00:00 xinit
   1934 tty1     01:12:39 Xorg
   1944 tty1     00:00:00 xf86-video-inte
   1954 tty1     00:00:00 xfce4-session
   2009 tty1     00:05:52 xfwm4

I hope that is the info that you are asking for here.

DE = xfce4
