I wanted to check to see if my interactions on the pi-hole-server package are off base. The package builds in a clean chroot fine (which is always nice), but I run into errors with the pi-hole-server.install script when I try and install the package into a clean chroot that does not have external internet access. I know I could have been nicer and thanked the maintainer for their work, but the maintainer's responses are making me think that I am reporting something crazy or in a bad way.
I was hoping someone might look at my comments and see if I am being rude/unreasonable/stupid/etc.
Thanks

To me it looks like there were upstream changes not noticed by them and they responded from a busy environment.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
