I am facing a strange laptop problem. I am using compaq presario Pentium M processor 1.60GHz laptop, it has a LAN card(Realtek|RTL-8139) and a WLAN card(Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG) the problem i am facing is that i am using Arch Linux 2.6.18-ARCH, when I installed Arch Linux the LAN card was working properly and it was detected as eth0, then i tried to configure the WLAN card according to the WIKI and installed the ipw2200 driver and did a reboot, after reboot I did hwd -s, now it was showing two device eth0 and eth1 for my LAN card and no device for WLAN. Initially my rc.conf had setting for eth0, now thats not working i had to enter same setting for both eth1 and eth0.
WHAT SHOULD I DO, I DONT WANT TO SWITCH TO ANY OTHER LINUX FOR THIS.
This was happening because of a UDEV bug, i solved it by loading the LAN and WLAN modules in this sequence in the rc.conf.
