Can I ask why installing noto-fonts-emoji fixed the display error inside of Emoji Selector? When I had first installed Arch with Plasma and kde-applications I believe it worked fine for quite some time. Just recently mine too was only displaying boxes. What does noto-fonts-emoji do and I'm kinda curious what the problem was in the first place. I enjoy using GNU/Linux, especially Arch, because it's so bleeding edge, and thank you for taking the time to answer me (if anyone does ??) thank you!

Install /some/ font that provided the desired glyphs?
