Archlinux compatible with VIA Eden chipset?

I'm trying to install arch linux onto a Lex light (www.lex.com.tw) which has a VIA Eden motherboard.

I'm booting up the 0.7.2 install cd, give "arch" as boot parameters and press enter. vmlinuz and mkinitrd is loading but right when mkinitrd is completely loaded and the boot process is about to start the computer reboots.

VIA Eden is supposed to be i686 compatible so I don't think thats the problem.

I've had FreeBSD and Slackware installed on it before and never had this problem. But I would really like to have arch linux installed on it.

Anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

You could check whether the problem persists when using one of tpowa's isos.

You could try building a kernel that has CMOV emulation. I'm waiting for someone to try this because its a bit above my head.
