Re: Wine-staging: Could not find dependent assembly

I get something like this too, this is a fresh installation of Arch.
Tried both wine-staging and wine and it gives pretty much the same.
This log is from wine (not staging) v8.16-1

Here's from another machine that had it installed and working before but for test I removed it and tried again.

Re: Wine-staging: Could not find dependent assembly

UPDATE: On the last machine shown up here, I removed wine-staging, but didn't delete the wine-dir, installed wine and in here just 4 lines of 'fixme' showed up. So I removed wine, not deleting the wine-dir, and reinstalled wine-staging. Some errors showed up but I figured wth and continued.

Started lutris, in there epic and then the game Wolfenstein new order and it worked.
sure is weird.

UPDATE2: On the first machine listed in here I tried the same thing. Install wine 64bit and 32bit and didn't bother with errors, remove wine/wine-staging back and forth to the point that no error messages will be shown (but do NOT delete the dirs you set it to install to between these installations!!!!) as I set the 64/32 bit up with this:

WINEARCH=win64 WINEPREFIX=~/.wine64 wine wineboot
and
WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=~/.wine32 wine wineboot

After that installed games in Lutris(which was already installed) and they worked. The Games was: Cities Skyline, A Plague Tale: Innocence and Star Wars Squadrons.

So for me at least this seems to work, keep installing wine or wine-staging back and forth until no errors is shown, but remember NOT to delete the directories that you create for wine!

PS. I do ONLY recommend this if you really have problems as I did.
I think this "small" mishap will be corrected soon so...

I'm out for a c00l night of gaming...and a cold one of course
